greek 81 by the fact that Jerry is on Phil's Side (aka stage right, audience left) (at least I recall the video showing the stage setup thus-been a while since I saw it). They swapped (Duke) Spring '82... that's when Phil began playin' on the right ('correct') side

Was Phil still on a 4-string? Seems like it (when was his migration to 6?, anybody recall?)

Anybody else equate Phil's side w/stage right & Jerrry's die with stage left? I still, to this day, label any stage side this way...

I believe Phil switched to the 6-string Modulus in 1983. This looks the brief period when he played a Fender Jazz. From there, it was a G&L bass and then the Modulus.

Yeah, that hit me later. (Duh.) But they're opening with Bertha (or seem to be), so it can't be 9/11 or 9/12. I have those shows, but didn't think to search the archives, and there was also (double duh) a 9/13. Bertha is the second tune. But this seems to be a cold start and that day they go into it from Jack Straw. Still, probably this one:

I believe the first Modulus shows were the NYE run in '82.

edit: Looked at it again and it's not a cold start after all; got fooled by the edit. How visually illiterate of me. So I do think it's gotta be 9/13/81. I've either not heard that one or forgotten it, but I like this Bertha ... now I've got yet another show to check out. (However does THAT happen?)
